Fall Flavors

The second September 1st rolls around, everyone is all about the pumpkin spice. Now I like pumpkin spice as much as the next person, but to me, Septemeber is all about apples.

The beginning of Fall symbolizes the time for apple harvests. Not that I have even seen an apple tree in person, but it’s up there on my bucket list! I love creating fall desserts with apples, like these honey crisp baked apples with a gluten free oatmeal cookie stuffing. If you haven’t tried them, you are missing out.

For an even easier dessert, that will bring you all the flavors of fall, this gluten free maple cheesecake apple parfait is where it is at.

Gluten Free Caramel Apple Cookies

Caramel and apples are a match made in heaven and Goodie Girl has taken that amazing pair and inserted into one of the best cookies ever. You just can’t go wrong with these.

They are a special edition, just for the fall (which means head to their website and grab them while you can), and so addicting. You are going to want a box to make this dessert and a box to eat by yourself.

The flavor and crunch of these gluten free caramel apple cookies, combined with the smooth maple cream cheese and sauteed apples is a combo that you are going to love!

Maple Cheesecake Apple Parfait

I love parfaits because they are so simple and yet so flavorful. This one, in particular, has a simple maple cream cheese that just takes it over the top. Especially when you get it in one bite with the cooked apples and the caramel apple cookies.

There aren’t a lot of tricks to this recipe. The main one would be to make sure your cream cheese is soft before you beat it. Otherwise, it is grainy and kinda yucky.

Otherwise, these gluten free maple cheesecake apple parfaits take just a few minutes to whip up. You can even make them ahead so they are ready when you want them to be!

Be sure to head on over to the Goodie Girl website and grab a couple of boxes (or a case!) of the Caramel Apple Cookies before they are gone!

I’m with you! September should be all about the apples! My apple tree only produces every other year and this is off year, but I can not wait for next year!
