Gluten Free Pull Apart Cheesy Bread

You just can’t go wrong with cheesy bread. Maybe you’ve seen what they call “crack bread” and craved it, but wondered if it would ever be possible to make gluten free. It totally is and it’s really easy.

My husband loves bread, we used to eat baguettes all the time with dinner before going gluten free. Once I discovered Schar Baguettes we started to buy them frequently, but I usually just slice and add a little butter before baking. This garlic herb butter and cheese take it to the next level.

Schar Gluten Free Baguettes

We love Schar Gluten Free Baquettes. They come two to a package and are par-baked, meaning you finish baking it yourself. They are soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, reminding me of a French bread.

I’ve used them before in recipes, like this Aji de Gallina, but more often we slice them and bake with a little bit of butter to go with a meal. My three year old loves them, she can eat half a baguette on her own if I would let her.

Easy, Peasy

This gluten free pull apart cheesy bread is so easy to make, but of course, I have a few tips for you.

  1. Be sure to spray the foil before putting the bread on…you don’t want the yummy cheese to bake onto the foil and not come off. It’s a waste of good cheese.
  2. Try not to cut the bread all the way through, but if you do, it’s not the end of the world. When you wrap it in the foil, the melted cheese will hold it all together.
  3. I know someone will ask if this can be made dairy free. It can if you have a non-dairy cheese you love and melts well!

These tips should help you make this bread easily. On top of the cheese, what really makes this bread is the garlic herb butter that you spread between the bread before stuffing with cheese. The cheese and the butter melt all together and it is so good!

This is the perfect recipe to try out at your next dinner party or Italian night. Or…if you’re anything like me, you make it just to eat for lunch!

Totally can be adjusted for camping! Especially since you cook the bread in foil.
