Gluten Free Soft Pretzels
It’s been years since I had a soft pretzel. They aren’t something you normally find pre-made gluten free. Browsing around on the internet one day, I saw that people were using pizza dough to make soft pretzels. I thought that was genius, I love using pizza dough for things other than pizza (like these Easy Pizza Dough Cinnamon Rolls!).
The only problem was, a lot of gluten free pizza dough is kinda wet and hard to shape, fortunately, Enjoy Life’s Pizza Dough Mix is up to the challenge! Best part? Not only is it gluten free, it’s top 8 allergen free as well, so it’s a win for everyone!
Enjoy Life Foods Pizza Crust Mix
Enjoy Life Foods Pizza Crust Mix is Top 8 Allergen Free, (and a few more!) plus it’s made with all kinds of good for you stuff. Ancient grains, probiotics, and protein are all added to give this dough a healthy boost.
Once of my favorite things about working with Enjoy Life Pizza Crust Mix is that it rolls out like you would expect pizza dough to roll out. You can make classic pretzel shapes or you can let your kids create their own pretzel shapes.
Quick and Easy Gluten Free Soft Pretzels
These gluten free soft pretzels are so easy to make. Once the pizza dough is made (which only require water and oil), divide the dough into 8 portions and roll into a long snake. Use the dough snake to make a pretzel shape.
After the pretzel shapes are formed, brush them with a baking soda water mixture. This is going to help give you that crunchy crust. Let it sit 5 minutes before brushing on dairy free butter and sprinkling with salt. I like to use crunchy kosher salt for this step.
You can serve them with your favorite sauce, like this Vegan Top 8 Allergen Free Cheese Sauce from Allergylicious or if you can eats nuts, try this Vegan Queso from Wicked Spatula! Of course, you can alway eat them alone. I may or may not have eaten 3 while writing this!
Do you have a favorite creative way to use pizza dough? How about a favorite Enjoy Life Foods product? Let me know in the comments!
Happy Gluten Free Eating!
