Ice Age Meals
Until recently I had not heard of Ice Age Meals, but when I started looking around for gluten free meal services I came across these pre-made paleo meals and couldn’t wait to find out more. Low and behold, they were actually on Shark Tank not too long ago. How cool is that?
Here are a few facts about Ice Age Meals
Gluten Free
For me this is the most important. Since they only make gluten free meals, I don’t have to worry about cross contamination.
Dairy Free & Soy Free
While I’m not Dairy or Soy Free, many people with Celiac Disease are, so this is a very positive attribute.
Non-GMO
Not all ingredients are organic, but many are made with grass-fed beef and organic poultry. Organic coconut aminos and organic coconut cream are also used.
Shipping
Everything is shipped straight to your door with dried ice so it stays frozen.
Ice Age Meals Review
There were a lot of things I liked about Ice Age Meals. I love that they are pre-portioned and are healthy. As a busy mom, a lot of times my meals are not exactly great, so having a healthy option that is quick and easy to prepare is a huge plus.
The meals are frozen, not fresh, so if plans change I don’t have to worry about them going bad. The variety of meals is great. Everything from BBQ to Mexican. Ribs were my favorite. I loved the BBQ sauce they used and the little side of pulled pork with the ribs was delicious! Everything was well seasoned and full of flavor.
Since I’m still working on losing that baby weight (then again, she’s two now so I’m not sure I can blame it on her!) these meals are the perfect addition to a healthy diet.
Cons
The number one con I have is the price. While it still is cheaper (and much better for you than eating out!), it is still a little pricey for me to have one everyday. That being said, ordering a pack once in awhile to have on hand to make healthy choices is definitely worth it. It’s also cheaper than buying new jeans when mine get to tight from eating junk.
The only other con I would have is a lot of tomato based sauces, but that is just a personal preference. Love fresh tomatoes, cooked tomatoes I like on occasion. I’m strange, I know.
Final Opinion
If you are trying to eat a healthier, paleo based diet, but tend to be short on time, you should try Ice Age. The meals are delicious, there is no prep, and you save a trip to the store. Eating gluten free has never been easier!

February 13, 2017 at 11:09 amWhat a cool idea! I had no idea they had paleo premade meals available. Eating paleo can be so difficult and expensive so this is very interesting to me. It’s so hard to get healthy meals on the table all week!
