Homemade, Oven Baked Garlic Butter Gluten Free Croutons

Gluten free garlic and butter croutons are a snap to make in the oven and delicious on soups or salads. The perfect use of left over gluten free bread.

Ingredients

  • 5 slices gluten free bread I used Schar Deli Sliced Sourdough
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 4 TBSP butter
  • 4 cloves garlic smashed
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add olive oil and garlic.
  • Simmer butter, olive oil and garlic mixture for 20 minutes.
  • Add in onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cube bread.
  • Toss bread with butter mixture and place on a foil lined baking sheet.
  • Bake, tossing occasionally, for 20 minutes or until well toasted.

Notes

Use to top soups or salads.
Parmesan or herbs can be added to vary flavor.
