Ginger Garlic Compound Butter over New York Strip Steak
Ingredients
Ginger Garlic Compound Butter
1
stick softened butter
2
gloves garlic
grated
1/2-3/4
inch
piece of peeled ginger
grated
1
scallion
minced
salt and pepper taste
Steak
2
New York Strip Steaks
Kosher Salt
Fresh Ground Pepper
Instructions
Ginger Garlic Compound Butter
Mix together softened butter, garlic, ginger, and scallion.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Place on plastic wrap and roll into a log.
Place in freezer until ready to serve.
Steak
Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees
Salt and Pepper both Steaks.
Allow to come to room temperature
In Cast Iron Pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium high heat
Place steaks in pan, allow to cook 3-4 minutes to form a nice crust.
Flip and place immediately in oven.
Continue cooking 4-7 minutes or till desired doneness.
Notes
The butter by itself is a bit strong in flavor, but it is perfect as it melts over the steak!
