Gluten Free Banana’s Foster Waffles

Ingredients

Gluten Free Waffles

  • 1 3/4 cup gluten free flour I prefer GF Jules
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2- 1 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs

Banana Foster Sauce

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 slightly green bananas sliced
  • 1/4 cup rum or bourbon gluten free
  • 1/4 cup cream

Instructions

Gluten Free Waffles

  • Beat together gluten free flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • In separate bowl beat together melted butter, vanilla and 1 1/2 cups milk. Add eggs and beat together.
  • Pour egg and milk mixture over dry ingredients and stir until combined. If mixture is to dry, add in remain 1/4 cup milk.
  • Cook on heated waffle iron, according to waffle iron directions.

Banana Foster Sauce

  • Melt together butter, brown sugar and vanilla over medium low heat.
  • Add bananas and cook, stirring frequently.
  • Gently remove bananas and set aside.
  • Remove pan from heat.
  • Stir in rum.
  • Stir in cream.
  • Cook over medium low heat until sauce coats the back of a spoon (3-4 minutes)
  • Add bananas.
  • Serve over waffles (or ice cream or french toast)
