These 10 Gluten Free Bloggers are in the know about what is gluten free in their city and the rest of the country!
Inspiration
When I was first diagnosed with Celiac disease I went through all kinds of emotions fear and anger, but mostly confusion. I did not know where to begin. I found most of my help in gluten free bloggers. Articles like, 8 Steps to Easy Gluten Free Grocery Shopping, helped me learn to navigate the ropes, but then it was time to plan a vacation.
I was filled with dread. I could barely navigate the grocery store, how would I figure out a whole new city. My husband and I based our vacations around food. We honeymooned in New Orleans just so we could eat our way around the city. Where would we go that I could eat and not be stressed about it the whole time?
My husband works for a hotel chain, so we always start looking for vacation spots based on where they had hotels, so I started googling the cities and “gluten free”. I came across a blog, Gluten Free Philly. There were lists and lists of restaurants in different neighborhoods. Never having been to Philadelphia I had no idea what any of it meant, but I emailed Mike, the writer of Gluten Free Philly and he emailed me right back with all kinds of information. I was thrilled. To make it even better, there was even an app. Out trip to Philadelphia, and my first experience traveling gluten free, was a success because of his blog.
It’s been a few years in the making, but Gluten Free Philly is one of the reasons I started My Gluten Free Miami. As much as I love sharing products and recipes (check out our Peruvian page!), I also want to be a source for people who live here and are traveling here to be able to relax when it comes to gluten free dining. My Gluten Free Restaurant Guide is in the works, but if you have questions, I’m just a Facebook message or email away!
The great thing is I’m not the only blogger out there who wants to assist people in navigating their city! There are gluten free bloggers all over the United States, specializing in their city.
